Doctoral students of Nicolae Testemitanu University - holders of the Government excellence scholarship and the scholarship in scientific fields

Four doctoral students studying at the Doctoral School in Health Sciences of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy will receive the Excellence Scholarship of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Scholarship in Scientific Fields for 2025. The list of doctoral students selected following the application competition was made public by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, three young researchers will benefit from excellence scholarships:

Cristina Popa – 4th year, Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics specialty;

Elena Golubenco – 3rd year, Pediatrics and Neonatology specialty,

Olga Corlateanu – 4th year, Internal Medicine (Pulmonology) specialty;

At the same time, Inessa Jitari - 2nd year, Cardiology specialty, is the winner of the Scholarship in scientific fields.

The Excellence Scholarship and the Scholarship in Scientific Fields are awarded annually, starting with the second year of studies,  to doctoral students enrolled in full-time and part-time studies who have fully completed the advanced training and scientific research programs established by the doctoral supervisor, have accumulated the number of credits provided for in the Doctoral School Curriculum, have achieved outstanding academic results and actively participate in the social life of the institution.

The scholarship competition for doctoral students is part of the government program to stimulate the performance of young researchers. By granting these scholarships, the executive aims to streamline the process of training scientific staff, as well as to motivate young researchers to engage in research and innovation activity.

In total, 21 doctoral students from institutions organizing higher doctoral studies in the country will receive government excellence scholarships in 2025 (in the amount of 6,600 lei), and another 6 - scholarships in scientific fields (in the amount of 5,720 lei).

We would like to note that the Doctoral School in Health Sciences is the structure responsible for organizing higher doctoral studies, based on Government Decision No. 816 of November 11, 2015, within the Consortium formed by Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the doctoral institutions organizing medical studies: the National Center for Public Health, the Mother and Child Institute, Diomid Gherman Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Institute of Cardiology, Chiril Draganiuc Institute of Phthisiopneumology, the Oncological Institute, Timofei Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital, the Institute of Physiology and Sanocreatology and the Emergency Medicine Institute.
